Which Models & Years Work?
✅ Model 3 (2017–present, all regions) ✅ Model Y (2020–present, all regions) ✅ Model S (2021+ with the updated touchscreen) ✅ Model X (2021+ with the updated touchscreen)
Not Compatible With:
❌ Model S/X (2020 and older)
These use a traditional key fob, not the NFC card. ❌ Cybertruck (check with Tesla)
May use a different key system.
How to Check if Your Car Supports It?
Look for the NFC reader – Near the driver’s side door pillar or center console (small card icon).
Tesla App – If your phone can unlock the car via NFC, the key card will work too.
Car Settings – Go to Controls > Locks and see if "Key Card" is listed.
If you’re unsure, give Tesla your VIN (Vehicle ID Number), and they can confirm.
